With more than 13,000 votes for the Guinness World Records 2012 Gamer's Edition book, fans chose Call of Duty: Black Ops to have to best ending in all of video games beating out titles like Bioshock, Portal 1 & 2, and Super Metroid. It should also be noted that Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 1 & 2 and World at War also placed on the list with Modern Warfare 2 getting 4th after The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Halo: Reach.
Now I'm not one to call bullshit on Guinness' wisdom when it comes awarding records but from looking over the list it seems like the voters just picked out a bunch of current favorites and didn't put much thought in otherwise.
